Applebee's/IHOP Interior Renovation and Facade Upgrade

Location: Winnipeg, MB

In consultation with the franchisor, (Dine Brands), and franchisee, (the client), we led the redevelopment of a 5800 sq ft existing Applebee’s restaurant to create a dual brand Applebee’s/IHOP restaurant. The exterior work was comprised of a building façade upgrade complete with a canopy, exterior signage and exterior lighting. The interior work included new cabinetry, an updated bar, flooring, ceiling, and themed finishes. This work was developed to meet the Dine Brand standard design guidelines. The scope of work included an analysis of kitchen workflow, kitchen equipment, and fume hoods. The kitchen was retrofitted and re-equipped to support the dual brand menus.

Mechanical work included rooftop unit replacement and upgraded ventilation systems. Electrical work included new lighting.

The project was successfully completed in September 2025.
